Tattoo design and construction

So I was contacted to tattoo a full color Biomechancial lifeform abstract tattoo piece. He wanted bright colors and thick lines and gave me references from his favorite Guy pieces and asked if I could do it. He saw my work and is confident I can do it so these are the steps in progress as I make the art then I will show progress as I tattoo it. Here is the kicker I have to incorporate his tribal band or go over it. The dark black area is where it used to live.

This is the first sketch before inking

This is after approval by the client and the first stage Ink.

This is the first block of color just to get the basic color down

Adding the colored pencil on top

More pencil to darken and add reflections

Second layer is done now adding to the inside where the main light scource is coming from.
